Big Daddy's White Chicken Chili Recipe
I made a beef/turkey chili with sweet potato not so long ago and it was delicious, so I can imagine this white chicken with potatoes is really tasty as well. Looks and sounds just right for colder weather.
Okay, so I really wanted to put up a recipe for gluten-free enchiladas. I grew up loving the chicken enchiladas that my mom made, but they are definitely not gluten-free or really all that healthy because of the cream of chicken soup.
I also love how there are white beans in these, so there is something inside the tortillas besides just chicken and sauce. The white beans not only add texture and volume, but they also add a healthy, low-fat protein and make them more like beef enchiladas.
Thank you for this recipe! We LOVE these enchiladas. I did make some minor tweaks. I use 2 cups beans and about 1 lb cooked chicken and the. cut the amount of cream cheese in half. This recipe makes 20 enchiladas for me using corn tortillas.
These were by far the best chicken enchiladas I've ever had! For the shredded chicken, I used Costco's rotisserie shredded chicken. I will definitely make this recipe over and over! Thank you so much for the recipe!
Simple chili recipe with good flavor! I keep the spices the same as the recipe because I am not the adventurous type. I add either sweet potatoes or carrots for a little extra texture and substance. I just made it for a fourth time and added frozen corn. I like the balance of spices which is what I keep the same every time
I loved the chili, and I have made chili for the last 45 years! The only thing I changed is that I used half chipotle chile powder half regular chile powder, did not add the sugar, and used half the beans. I doubled the recipe and gave half to my housekeeper. She loved it too!
This slow-cooked smoked brisket chili is the ultimate recipe to show off and share with your family and friends. The flavors in this chili are incredible, especially with the two secret ingredients I put in at the end.
Chili, or chili con carne, is a centuries-old recipe consisting of ground or chopped beef with chilis or chili powder. While the first recipes started to show up in San Antonio, Texas, in the early 18th century, it is said to have been created by the Aztecs in the 16 century. There are also many other stories and tales of how this came to be.
Love this recipe. Much prefer this to the more traditional Texas style BBQ sauce which is too sweet for my tastes. It's so versatile as well, it works brilliantly with smoked chicken, pork even beef and I also use it as a quick salad dressing sometimes. My wife complains if we have not got a batch in the fridge. It's a shame most people in the UK have never heard of it as it's lovely stuff. Thanks!
Today, Daddy Lau will be teaching us his recipe for white cut chicken (白切雞), Cantonese poached chicken, or bak chit gai in Cantonese, along with his deliciously addictive ginger scallion sauce (薑蔥醬) to pair with it.
I\u2019m known to enjoy a non-traditional chili from time to time; a white chicken chili or a pork chile verde can be a delight, and of course my vocal and partly-sincere embrace of Cincinnati-style chili is well-known.
The process for my Chipotle red chili Salsa recipe is simple: roast tomatillos, Fresno peppers, and garlic under your broiler for a few minutes, then purée everything in a blender with vinegar and seasoning. The trick is to not over-blend the mixture. Once the tomatillos are added, purée the mixture until no chunks of tomatillo are visible, but stop blending while you can still see tomatillo seeds in the sauce.
The easy-melting, individually-wrapped Kraft Cheddar Singles are the perfect secret ingredient to copy this cheesy broccoli cheddar soup served at this top soup stop. In my Panera Bread Broccoli Cheddar Soup recipe, fresh broccoli is first steamed, then diced into little bits before you combine it with chicken broth, half-and-half, shredded carrot, and onion. Now you're just 30 minutes away from soup spoon go-time.
The thorough menu's Asia-inspired plates include Thai, Korean, and Chinese dishes, but one that consistently stands out is this excellent Mandarin-style spicy chicken entrée, served over your choice of white or brown rice.
Celina I don't know the answer to your question. Next time I make this I will measure and include the info in this post. I'll try to make an estimate for you based on all the different elements: 1 pound of black beans cooked is 5-6 cups. Plus I'd guess there's about 8 cups of meat here. Plus 2-4 cups of chicken broth. My best guess is this recipe makes about 16-18 cups of Feijoada. Best of luck with your International Food tasting!
An enchilada is a rolled tortilla with a filling (usually meat) then topped with a sauce and baked. These Cream Cheese Chicken Enchiladas are filled with creamy cream cheese chicken, tomatoes, green chiles, and then topped with a creamy, cheesy white enchilada sauce.
We are having these for dinner tonight!! I cant wait.I did notice though, that your recipe varies from the one you have highlighted by your student.Hers calls for an onion and yours didnt.Hers calls for 3.5 cups of chicken and yours just 2 cups.Hers calls for two 8oz BAGS of cheese and yours calls for 2 CUPS.Why is there such a difference and which one should I be following? Thanks.Mindy
This is the best recipe I have ever tried. I had a little more than 2 cups chicken, so I thinks I will save some of the Rotel juice to thin it a little. Fixed Mexican Cabbage Salsa and refried beans with it. I was a hero tonite!!
Yummiest enchiladas ever. The mix of green chiles and cream cheese was FANTASTIC. I think I may have started a war at my boyfriends house between who gets the last ones lol. They taste wonderful with spanish rice made using chicken broth and green enchilada sauce instead of tomato and h2o.Thanks for posting the recipe! 350c69d7ab
